Privacy policy

VoiceMaxxing measures and trains your voice. Voice recordings and acoustic measurements are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to VoiceMaxxing or to our analytics provider.

Data Stored on Your Device

VoiceMaxxing stores the information needed to provide its features, including:

• Your selected practice goal and any older optional onboarding answers.
• Voice recordings, acoustic measurements, scores, and measurement grades.
• Drill sessions, practice checks, listening journals, favorites, and progress history.
• Saved practice steps, capture dates, comfort and listening preferences, and optional everyday-speech self-reports.
• Subscription entitlement, notification, rating-prompt, and widget state.

This information stays in the app's local storage and shared widget container. It remains there until the app's data is deleted. Apple separately processes App Store purchases and subscriptions under Apple's privacy policy. VoiceMaxxing does not receive your payment-card details.

Depending on your Apple backup settings, device backups may include locally stored app data. Files you choose to share are handled by the destination you select, as described below.

Analytics

VoiceMaxxing uses Mixpanel to understand whether key product steps work. The app sends only these kinds of analytics information:

• A fixed event name, such as onboarding completed, test completed, paywall viewed, subscription completed, drill completed, practice started/saved/listened, a capture/save failure, reminder settings saved, or a local export prepared.
• The drill identifier when a drill is completed.
• Event time, app version, Mixpanel SDK version, and anonymous event/session identifiers.
• A random identifier created by Mixpanel and stored for this installation so events from separate sessions can be counted as one funnel.

VoiceMaxxing does not send Mixpanel your name, email address, account details, voice recordings, acoustic measurements, scores, onboarding answers, comfort or listening preferences, everyday-speech answers, notification content, or free-form text. Automatic Mixpanel lifecycle tracking is disabled. The app also disables Mixpanel's IP-based geolocation and removes unnecessary device, operating-system, screen, carrier, radio, and Wi-Fi properties before events are stored or sent.

Mixpanel processes this data only for product analytics. VoiceMaxxing does not use it for advertising, does not sell it, and does not combine it with data from other companies to track you across apps or websites. Mixpanel may retain analytics data for up to five years unless it is deleted sooner or the project retention setting is shortened.

Microphone And Sharing

Microphone access is used only for voice tests, practice checks, and live drill feedback, and optional before/after spoken recordings. Processing occurs on the device.

If you choose to share a score image, before-and-after clip, or export your recordings and history, VoiceMaxxing creates it on your device and opens Apple's share sheet. The destination you select then handles that shared file under its own privacy policy.

Notifications

VoiceMaxxing can schedule local reminders for drills and re-tests. The reminder schedule and streak state stay on your device. VoiceMaxxing does not operate a push-notification server.

Your Choices

You may deny microphone or notification permission in iOS Settings, although features that need those permissions will not work. You may remove locally stored VoiceMaxxing data in the app's Settings or by deleting the app and its data. Settings also lets you export recordings/history, disable usage analytics, and choose, pause or disable reminders. Individual recordings and journals can be deleted from history. Complete local deletion resets onboarding and local free-test state; it does not cancel an Apple subscription. Copies you have shared and Apple backups follow their own controls. Deletion disables analytics and resets its local identifier; contact Support for a request concerning previously sent analytics.

Children

VoiceMaxxing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when that happens.
